We take trades against any of our watches!!! Introducing the Panerai PAM 786 Luminor 8 Days Set, a limited edition of 500. The first of the two models is the PAM 786 Luminor Black Seal Left-Handed 8 Days. This model is practically exactly the same as one of the models in the 2014 offering, with the same black dial and 44mm stainless steel DLC case but differs in one way. This iteration is a Destro model.

This means its a left handed model, meant to be worn on the right wrist. The crown and crown guard are placed on the left hand side of the case. The other watch that makes up the set is the Luminor Daylight 8 Days. This is based on a model that was made in 1986. That model featured a white dial with all the markers and the hands were of an intense blue.

The Luminor Daylight 8 Days stays true to the original with its hands, including the small seconds hand at 9 o'clock and large markers indicating the hours are all an intense shade of blue. In this model the case 44 mm in diameter is made of AISI 316L stainless steel with a polished finish, as is the winder protecting device placed traditionally on the right side. In keeping with the dial the strap is blue alligator, and the steel tongue buckle is sewn-in, as in the vintage models. The Luminor case of both watches of the Luminor 8 Days Set PAM00786 is closed by a screw back, engraved with the words "Officine Panerai Firenze" and the OP logo.

Both watches feature the in-house P5000 manually wound movement featuring 8 days of power reserve and are water-resistant to 30 bar (equivalent to a depth of about 300 metres) and the special box in which they are supplied also includes a spare strap for each model and a screwdriver. The two watches are supplied in a box inspired by those used for vintage Luminor watches, made of pear wood with a teak base and containing a model of the human torpedo (Siluro a Lenta Corsa - slowspeed torpedo), together with a rare publication about the military equipment of the special forces of the Royal Italian Navy, in which Panerai watches and instruments appear. We think the addition of the white dialed blue accented Daylight is quite striking and Panerai did a great job of making it look like the 1986 original. It should prove just as popular as the PAM 785 set.
